Triethanolamine is an amine compound. Tri (2-hydroxyethyl) amine, which can be seen as a trihydroxyl substitute for triethylamine. Similar to other amines, triethanolamine is weakly basic due to the presence of lone pair electrons on the nitrogen atom and can react with inorganic or organic acids to form salts. Properties: Colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid, slightly ammonia taste, low temperature becomes colorless to light yellow cubic crystal crystal. Dew darkens as it is exposed to air. It is easily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, glycerol and ethylene glycol, slightly soluble in benzene, ether and carbon tetrachloride, and almost insoluble in non-polar solvents. It's stimulating. It is hygroscopic. Can absorb carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide and other acidic gases.

1. Washing industry: As a nonionic surfactant, triethanolamine has the function of emulsification, foaming and decontamination. It is the main active ingredient of hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, body wash, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent and metal cleaning agent.
2. Textile printing and dyeing industry as textile printing and dyeing AIDS, emulsifying effect: emulsifying silicone oil penetrant levelling agent polypropylene oil agent.
3. Paper industry as deinking agent, blanket cleaning agent, deresinking agent.
4. Others such as pesticide emulsifier, crude oil demulsifier, lubricating oil emulsifier, etc.
5. Used for raw cotton dyeing; Wettable powder for pesticides.
