  Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C24H38O4. It is a transparent oily liquid that is insoluble in water but soluble in common organic solvents . DOTP is an excellent main plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. Compared with the commonly used diisooctyl phthalate (DOP), it has advantages such as heat resistance, cold resistance, low volatility, resistance to extraction, good softness and electrical insulation performance. In products, it shows excellent durability, soap water resistance and low-temperature softness.

APPLICATION:
  The main use of DOP is as a plastic additive, especially in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It can improve the plasticity and flexibility of PVC, making it easy to process into various shapes of products. DOP is also used as a plasticizer and plasticizer in industries such as cable, synthetic leather, rubber and coatings.
