Diethylenetriamine, with the chemical formula C4H13N3, is a light yellow or colorless transparent oily liquid with a strong smell of ammonia. Its melting point is about -40ºC, boiling point is about 206ºC, and density is 0.96 g/cm³. This compound is well miscible with solvents such as water, ethanol, and acetone, but is difficult to dissolve in n-heptane and ether solvents.
