Product Description
Butyl acetate (butyl acetate) is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. Butyl acetate is slightly soluble in water and miscible with general organic solvents such as alcohol and ether. Compared with the lower homologues, butyl acetate is insoluble in water and difficult to hydrolyze. However, under the action of acid or alkali, it is hydrolyzed to generate acetic acid and butanol. Butyl acetate is the most important medium volatile solvent in the coatings industry. Its volatility is high enough to evaporate quickly from the coating film, and low enough to prevent shrinkage, whitening and disordered flow.
