  Neopentyl glycol (NPG), a white crystalline solid without odor, is hygroscopic. It is mainly used in the production of unsaturated resins, oil-free alkyd resins, polyurethane foam plastics and elastomers as plasticizers, surfactants, insulating materials, printing inks, polymerization inhibitors, synthetic aviation lubricating oil additive products, etc.; meanwhile, NPG is also an excellent solvent, which can be used for the selective separation of aromatics and cycloalkane hydrocarbons; its amino-based enamels have good light retention properties and do not yellow; it can also be used as raw materials for stabilizers and pesticides.
