  Titanium dioxide, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula TiO2, is a white solid or powder-like amphoteric oxide with a molecular weight of 79.866 and stable chemical properties. When used as a pigment, it is also known as titanium white. Due to its superior dielectric constant, refractive index, and density, titanium white outperforms other white pigments in terms of whiteness, stability, tinting strength, weather resistance, covering power, and heat resistance, especially being essentially non-toxic . It is regarded as the best white pigment in the world today and is widely used in industries such as coatings, plastics, papermaking, printing inks, chemical fibers, rubber, and cosmetics. With a high melting point, it is also used to manufacture heat-resistant glass, glazes, enamels, ceramics, and high-temperature laboratory equipment.
