  Vinyl acetate, also known as acetic acid vinyl ester, has the chemical formula C4H6O2 and is an important organic chemical raw material. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet ether smell and a fruity and acidic aroma. The physical properties of vinyl acetate include a melting point of -93°C, a boiling point of 72.5°C, a flash point of -6.7°C, a density of 0.9 ± 0.1 g/cm³, and it is slightly soluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and benzene.
  Vinyl acetate has a wide range of applications in industry. It is mainly used in the production of polyvinyl alcohol, coatings, and adhesives. In addition, vinyl acetate can be polymerized by itself or copolymerized with other monomers to obtain various copolymers, such as EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) and EVC (vinyl acetate-chlorinated vinyl acetate copolymer), which have important applications in adhesives, architectural coatings, textile finishing agents, paper strengthening agents, and the manufacture of safety glass, etc.

APPLICATION:
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyvinyl acetate emulsion (PVAc): Vinyl acetate is an important raw material for the production of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl acetate emulsion. Polyvinyl alcohol is widely used in papermaking, fibers, textiles, coatings and other fields, while polyvinyl acetate emulsion is an environmentally friendly resin emulsion with excellent film-forming properties and water resistance, and can be used in wallpaper, coatings, adhesives, etc.
1.Synthetic fibers: Vinyl acetate can be used to produce synthetic fibers, which have important applications in textiles and clothing manufacturing.
2.Coatings: Vinyl acetate is used to produce various coatings, such as latex paint, which have good elasticity and gloss.
3.Adhesives: Vinyl acetate can be made into adhesives for bonding paper, wood, leather, etc.
4.Soil improvement: Adding vinyl acetate to cement can increase the tensile strength and wear resistance of cement.
5.Artificial leather: Adding plasticizers to vinyl acetate can produce artificial leather.
